Correcting My Report

Here you go, my corrected version of a report that I've written about my eye specialist!

Eye Specialist – Correction

This report is the summary of a survey conducted over a one-month period during which 194 patients filled in a form. The form consisted of various questions concerning comfort, service and treatment. Several concerns were raised, which are outlined below.

Comfort
It was generally felt that the doctor’s office – despite not being remarkably spacious – appeared light and friendly. Overall, patients were positive in their views of the sufficient seating accommodation provided in the waiting room. Above all, the great variety of magazines and the box of toys for children were praised. However, concerns were raised regarding the coat rack that was so small that a large number of patients had to take their jacket with them into the treatment room.

Service
As far as the receptionists are concerned, patients felt that they were outstandingly friendly and polite. As this eye specialist is the most popular in town, patients have to wait at least four months to get an appointment. Considering that, the receptionists organize the appointments very competently and accommodate patients in case they want to postpone their appointment. However, a large number of patients indicated that they had to wait for at least 45 minutes before they were called to go to the treatment room.

Treatment
In general, patients praised Dr Niederreither for doing his work thoroughly and with passion. Before starting with the actual treatment, he usually builds up a trust base with each patient by asking them about their occupation or family. It was felt that the doctor had an outstanding knowledge of laser eye surgery and advised the patients according to their difficulties. One issue that emerged from the survey was the doctor’s too tight schedule, as he seldom had time to answer patients’ questions about the treatment in detail.

Recommendation
It is clear that certain concerns need to be addressed. It is extremely important to improve the time management in order to avoid long waiting hours. I would also highly recommend scheduling fewer appointments per day to allow the doctor to spend more time on each patient and their treatment.
